"Yes"
While a well check-up can help us better understand and support your system, we are able to provide protection without the check-up.
WelGard® Standard Protection offers an easy path to coverage without a well inspection.
A WelGard® inspection is a basic check-up of your well equipment and how it delivers water into your home. An check-up can take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours. The goal is to make sure everything is safe, functional, and not at immediate risk of failure.
A well inspection will typically include:
1. Visual inspection of the well structure
The inspector looks at the wellhead (the part above ground), checking for cracks, damage, or anything that could let contaminants in. They’ll also make sure it’s properly sealed and sits high enough above ground to avoid runoff contamination.
2. Pump and pressure system check
Inspectors will test flow rate, pressure levels, and how often your pump cycles on and off. This helps spot issues like a failing pump or pressure tank problems.
3. Electrical components
An inspector will locate your wiring, control boxes, and connections to make sure everything is safe and functioning properly.
4. Well yield and recovery
Inspections include testing how quickly your well refills after water is used. This ensures a well is producing a consistent water supply.
5. System external and internal components
They’ll look at visual pipes and fittings to make sure everything is in good condition and properly connected.
6. Age and maintenance review
If well records are available, they will record the well’s permit #. This includes important information like installation date, depth, well type, an more. WelGard uses this information to pass along to technicians when future issues occur.
The WelGard® Team's process and summary is noted as industry-leading by respected technicians and drillers. A beautiful, informative document is published then emailed to you. This outline is meant to identify the specific components and special features of your individual well system.
The WelGard® inspection report captures a one-of-a-kind view of your well's unique condition: performance, needs, recommended repairs, and any immediate risks.
Each well system is tailor made to its property and water source. The WelGard® Team tailors a coverage plan to include all your well system's nuances.
Together, you and WelGard® will determine whether WelGard® Superior Protection or WelGard® Premium Protection is the best fit for you and your well system.
The WelGard® Team appreciates your desire to learn about your well and would like you to keep in mind: “inspections” do not include “water quality”.
Inspections are basic, visual checks. No one should open your well head, unless they are servicing your well. Opening your well head can expose your water to contaminants.
Not all recommended repairs need be addressed to qualify for WelGard® protection.
WelGard® is here to answer any and all questions or concerns you may have.
